Your audio stays on your device.
SurroundTest is designed to test an output path without recording, uploading, or storing audio.
Last updated August 11, 2026Audio and device checks
Test tones and noise are generated locally by your browser using the Web Audio API. SurroundTest does not request microphone access and does not receive an audio recording. The channel count shown in the tester is read in your browser and is not sent with a contact email unless you choose to include it.
Hosting and aggregate analytics
Cloudflare provides hosting, security, and aggregate website measurement. We also use Google Analytics to understand which pages are visited and how the site performs across browsers and devices. These services may process standard request and usage information such as an IP address, browser type, requested page, referrer, timing, and security signals. We use this information to understand general traffic and keep the site reliable, not to build advertising profiles.
Contact email
If you email contact@surroundtest.com, Zoho Mail processes the address, message, and attachments you send. We use that information only to read, investigate, and respond to your request, and retain it only as long as reasonably necessary for those purposes.
Cookies, sales, and advertising
Google Analytics may set first-party analytics cookies, including identifiers beginning with _ga. SurroundTest does not currently use advertising cookies, sell personal information, or run behavioral advertising. You can block analytics scripts or clear these cookies through your browser settings.
Your choices
You can use the speaker test without an account and without contacting us. To ask about or request deletion of a message you sent, email contact@surroundtest.com from the same address.
